100 dreamers…

For 3 years, I have been shooting Chinese people sleeping during the day on the streets of China ..  I collected a few hundreds of them between 2005 and 2008. This project is entitled ‘Day dreamers’, it was exhibited in a few festivals in Asia (Lianzhou, Angkor) and published in a few magazines in Europe (like VSD in France). As I decided I had now enough ‘dreamers’ in my collection, I could finally build the ‘final product’ of this series: a 4 meters long composite image made of 100 ‘day dreamers’.

About Eric Leleu

I have been living in China as a photographer for a few years. My brain is obsessed by concepts such as authority, consumerism, capitalism, geopolitics, sociology or urbanity... My focus is the dynamics of public spaces: the interrelationship between the authority, the crowd and the individual. As for my eye, it is looking for colors and intensity. My dream is simple: having a few of my photos living longer than me...
